Preschool and Counting to 10

Wahoo! I just got Ethan in to preschool! He is so excited. When I told him that he was going to go to school, he went into his room and found his backpack. He then started to fill it with toys. When he went to bed that night he kept it on and fell asleep like that. He also told me today that he needs to be a good listener for his teachers. He doesn't start till my first day of school but meets his teacher on the 15th. It's so funny how he is so eager and ready to go to school. He's been waiting all day thinking he's going. I've just been letting him wear and fill is backpack.

Last night after our bedtime story Ethan told me he wanted to count. I've been trying to teach him to count to 20. So we began to count and it was Sophie who shocked me. She was saying all of the numbers before us. She counted to 10 all by herself. I guess we have been counting a lot and Sophie just picked it up. I love my kids. They just keep growing and learning. I hope I can teach and keep them to always have that love of learning.

Wow! How exciting!!! Looking at a calendar would be good practice too, calendars are a big deal in kindergarten.

I have some things for the kids (a proton pack, and a mermaid doll) if you're ever in town again. I've been meaning to call you, things are little crazy here now. Joe is fulltime at school, which is a first. That's kinda like having a kid!! LOL. I have to tell him all the time to do his homework.

I'm so happy that it sounds like the kids are doing well. We need to have a BBQ before the summer is officially over.

That's a good idea about the calendar. My Mom also mentioned that I should have Sophie count things. Whatever, cereal and so on, so that she can grasp the concept easier. Ethan already does that.
Wow you made the proton pack already! Good for Joe about going back to school. I actually have to take 16 units instead of 12. But I can do it. Don't have any other choice right now. We should get together some time soon. Just let me know when and I'll see what I can work out. You are welcome at my place as well. I have a bbq and a ton of shrimp in the freezer. If you like shrimp. Let me know.
