Balloons
I had decided to buy some balloons for the kids for the New Year's Eve Party. But I went through a lot of trouble to get them. First I had to go buy the rest of my groceries at Albertson's which is in the same shopping center as Party City. So I did my shopping and since the kids were acting so good I decided to go to Party City to look for a punch bowl. While there the kids begged for balloons and so I decided to get some. Long story short I had parked close to Albertson's which wasn't that far from Party City who doesn't allow carts to be brought out so I walked with everything back to our car. I have know idea why I didn't predict this out come. I should have known. So right as we start to walk out of the store both kids start having major tantrums. Great. I'm trying my best to juggle two freaking out kids who if I let go will dart out in the street. I'm also carrying the dozen balloons I just bought and a huge punch bowl and my purse. I'm trying not to let the kids go get them to walk and holding tight to the balloons so they don't fly away. I looked like a total idiot the whole time. I got so many looks. A guy walked by and gave me a funny look and I just started laughing thinking how funny I looked. He also started laughing. I saw a cop car drive by me slowly with both officers gawking out their windows. Embarrassing. Oh well the kids give me lots of funny stories to tell. They're not always funny at the time. In the end they had fun tangling up the balloons and in the morning they were all deflated. Ethan kept throwing the balloons around in the kitchen while Dad was making pancakes in the morning. The heat from the grill popped a bunch of them. I think next time I'll just blow some up and throw them around on the floor. I've learned my lesson.
