The End of One Long Day
We finally stopped for dinner at this restaurant in Salem, it used to be a house. A company called McMenamin's takes old buildings all over Oregon and turns them into restaurants, movie theaters, spas, and hotels. Each has it's own history. I actually found it in the AAA book and we decided to try this restaurant. We were really glad we did. It had great food and reminded us of Newcomb's. Our waiter happen to ride a motorcycle and since Brandon was wearing his Repsol shirt it got them talking about bikes. He also was really nice about us moving around the restaurant. We thought we would eat upstairs and then decided to eat outside since it was so nice out. Turned out that being outside was too much space for the kids and they began to run around everywhere so we headed back to our original table. Our poor waiter was having trouble keeping up with us. It was a great ending to a long day. If we're ever in Salem, OR again we'll definitely stop there to eat.
